Precision Amplifier Drives 500ohm Load to ±10V
Two amplifiers can be combined to double the output current of just one amplifier. In this circuit the gain is arranged in such a way that ensures that each amplifier contributes half of the load current. One tenth of the output voltage is impressed across a resistor that is one fifth of the load resistor making its current exactly 1/2 the total load current. If the load is disconnected the bottom amplifier will sink the current.
