LT3081 1.5A Single Resistor Rugged Linear Regulator with Monitors - Video Product Brief

The LT3081 is a 1.5A low dropout linear regulator designed for rugged industrial applications with monitoring and protection features. Key features of the device are the extended safe operating area, wide input and output voltage ranges, output current monitor, temperature monitor and programmable current limit. The LT3081 uses a current source reference for single resistor output voltage settings and output adjustable down to '0' and can be paralleled for higher output current or heat spreading. Furthermore the current from the device’s current monitor can be summed with the set current for line-drop compensation. The device withstands reverse input and reverse output-to-input voltages without reverse current flow. This architecture features a high-accuracy current-source reference and offers low noise, wide input & output voltage, and good PSRR.
