Step-Down (Buck) Regulators

Linear Technology manufactures a broad line of high performance step-down buck switching regulator ICs and buck switching controller ICs with both synchronous and non-synchronous switches.  These switching voltage regulators offer typical input voltage capability from less than 2V up to 100V+, switching frequencies up to 4MHz and high efficiency operation up to 96%. Also with Burst Mode operation, quiescent currents in the tens of micro-amps level can be attained. This combination of features allows very small, low profile buck switching regulator circuit implementations with minimum external components. Other features of these step down switch mode voltage regulators include micropower operation (Burst Mode), high efficiency, adjustable or synchronizable switching frequency, small package size and more.
