Series Voltage References
Series voltage references are voltage references which are functionally similar to a 3 terminal regulator. Some series voltage reference are designed to also operate in shunt mode by simply biasing the output pin and leaving the input pin open circuit. Series-mode voltage reference have the advantage that they draw only load and quiescent current from the input supply. Linear Technology offers a broad line of series voltage references with low dropout, low power and excellent line regulation.
