RF RMS Detectors

Modern communications equipment employ high order QAM modulation and multi-carrier signals to increase transmission bandwidth. Linear Technology's family of RMS power detectors perform root-means-square average power measurement of these complex waveforms, providing true power measurements to an accuracy of within ±0.2dB. All products have an easy-to-use, mV/dB response with better than ±1dB linearity up to 60dB dynamic range. RMS detectors are best for accurate RF power readings regardless of waveforms that have high peak-to-average modulated content, multi-carrier or multi-tone.
