Timing

Linear Technology's solid-state silicon oscillators or  "instant clocks" can be set to output a broad range of frequencies using a single resistor, or via an SPI or I2C interface.  Versus crystal oscillator or RC oscillator solutions, these easy to use ICs offer the advantages of frequency programmability, shock resistance, small size and low power consumption.  These versatile silicon oscillator ICs offer frequencies from 1kHz up to 170MHz.

Linear Technology continues to dedicate resources to meet the needs of the military markets and to ship product to the top defense electronics contractors. Linear Technology manufactures a broad range of rugged radiation tolerant (rad hard) op amps, amplifiers, comparators, references, regulators and data converters that are ideal for space and military applications.

Products offered in Military Plastic (MP) packages offer extended operating temperature range (typically -55ºC to 125ºC) over standard products. Current products include operational amplifiers (op amps) and low dropout linear regulators (LDO).

Linear has received full Qualified Manufacturers Listing (QML) certification/qualification. Our Joint Army Navy (JAN) products are supplied as Class level S. These QML products are listed in the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) QML-38535 manufacturers list. Additionally, Linear Technology has a selected number of Defense Electronics Supply Center (DESC) Drawings references.
